People like myself, serious art collectors with fine arts backgrounds actually are well versed in what we like, learned in technique, and with an understanding of aesthetics have a right to opinion. These are lovely portraits that prove that this old process can still produce interesting, dreamy photos. It may be technically sloppy, but I think that the splotches and various imperfections give it visual interest. They look old, and it's an old process, so in that sense I think they are successful.
